The National Museum is one of the largest museums in Delhi, situated at the corner of the Janpath and Maulana Azad road. It was established in 1949. It hosts many artefacts, paintings, and artworks from the prehistoric era to the modern era. "Both Indian and foreign visitors, especially history and anthropology enthusiasts, find this place a must-visit.

How to reach

• Nearest Metro station: Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhavan Metro on the Yellow Line

Minimum Time required

The minimum time to look around the museum is 2 to 3 hours. However, we recommend having about 1 hour extra in hand.

Indian- INR 20
Kids (up to class 12th)- No Entry Fee (with I-cards)
Foreigners- INR 650 (Audio guide included)

Timings

Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Closed on Mondays)
Saturday and Sunday (10:00 AM- 8:00 PM)

Parking

If you are coming by car, make sure you are arriving early since parking is available for only 5 to 6 cars.
